“Grow Your Garden”
Plucked Pals are collectable characters inspired by your favorite flowers and veggies found in your gardens at home. The personalized figurines allow you to “grow your garden” as you collect them from each series!

Original Sketches
When first approaching this project, I knew I wanted to design figurines of some sort, so I thought it would be fun to model different vegetable and flowers as characters. When doing research, I took into account the origins of the plant itself, how it grows, how it appears when it grows, and the common colors associated with each one as well. I began by sketching out the figurines themselves first, and then moving more into exploring different expressions and looks to help showcase thedetails and attributes of the different veggies and flowers.
Packaging
When considering the packaging, I wanted to make it in a way that was interactive with the figurine as well. The idea was to create an underground setting, with layers of the earth, and a variety of the various things you would find underground, such as bones, worms, rocks, etc. When designing the die-cut for the box itself, I was mindful in the length of the folding flaps, as well as the size of the hole at the top to ensure that the figurines fit perfectly in their spot. On the exterior, I chose to make the front and back appear as seed packets, with information on the sides, and grass coming from the top of the box to further the idea of the figurines being “plucked” from the box.
